Things to keep in mind for your meeting at a restaurant 🍽️

Updated: Nov 10, 2023

Group gatherings at a restaurant provide a pleasant atmosphere for eating and drinking, while also chatting and getting to know new people. Restaurants often offer a wide variety of food and beverages, which allows them to meet different needs and preferences. Here at Meet5, there are a few things to keep in mind when planning a restaurant get-together.

1. How do I pick a suitable restaurant?

It's important to choose a restaurant that makes you feel comfortable. It is advisable to inform yourself beforehand if the restaurant has good reviews (at least 4 stars, ideally 4.5 stars). If you are a larger group, make sure that the restaurant is not too small. It would be desirable to have parking lots and a good public transport connection. The menu should have a variety of meals and should be suitable for your taste. All participants can look at the menu in advance by sending a link to the group chat. The prices should be reasonable for everyone. Please make sure that the restaurant is furnished comfortably and is a good place for pleasant conversations without having to raise your voices due to high noise levels.

2. Reservations

Most restaurants require reservations in advance, especially if you are coming with a group. Reservations are required for a successful get-together. Since this is a Meet5 meeting, you are permitted to make reservations under the name 'Meet5'. It would be helpful if you could also provide your first name to avoid confusion. The number of people is determined by how many people are shown in the app.

3. Communication within the group chat

Do not forget to update the rest of the participants on organizational development. Please let them know in the group chat under what name the reservations were made. If, for whatever reason, it is not possible to make reservations, please try to find alternative options in the group chat. Together, you will be able to find a resolution. :) Group chats can also be used to get to know each other before meeting in person. But, of course, as the creator of the meeting you can always tell the participants that the getting-to-know-each-other-session will continue at the restaurant.

We hope that you find the information we have provided helpful and that you always fall back on this article. We wish you a pleasant experience. 😊 Your Meet5-Team
